Learning has always been one of the greatest aspects of society because the advancement and development in the society in terms of economic and social aspects depends on the educational level of the nation and the society as a whole. In the present context due to the outbreak of the pandemic online classes have become a vehement issue and one of the most beneficial mediums of learning. However, even before the aspect of the spread of pandemic online mode of teaching was effective enough and was vehemently practiced by a group of students who preferred to take classes in a remote mode. However, the aspect of the pandemic has made the online mode of education more popular and it is effectively practiced by all schools and universities for leveling up the syllabus and curriculum on a regular basis. The issue of comparison between the online and offline modes of education is a serious topic that is a concerning issue in the present context. It is very obvious that there is a difference in the experience of attending an online class and a class in person.
Difference between Online and Physical Classes
With the development of technology and internet learning easier and there emerged a wide range of options to the students who cannot be present in the classes physically. This is the major USP of online learning. The major differences between online learning and physical learning are the geographical location (Shen). With offline learning, it is evident that the participant has to travel to the training location, school, college, or lecture halls for attending the classes. This is not the case with online learning and it can be conducted practically from anywhere in the world. The candidates and the training providers or the teachers need to have internet facilities from their home or any coffee shops in their locality. This aspect can also refer to the flexibility that is offered by online learning against that of offline education. In the case of online learning classes and training sessions can be conducted anywhere and at any place. Online learning tends to have a flexible time scale. However, offline learning is typically carried out between school hours and college hours and no such time flexibility can be obtained by the learner and the teacher. These are the potential differences between the offline and the online mode of education (Chen).
