Each movie has run for 14.73 weeks on average. $ 0.12 million is the lowest opening gross. while $23.059 is the lowest total gross for a movie. 1213 is the lowest number of theatres in which a film has been released. On the other hand, $179.14 is the maximum opening gross for a movie, while the highest total gross is $532.18 million. The diagram disclosed "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" has earned maximum revenue of $ 532.18 million. However, the movie’s opening gross was lesser than "Captain America: Civil War". "Captain America: Civil War" earned an opening gross of $ 179.14 million. "The Secret Life of Pets" has been released in 4,381 theatres which is the maximum compared to the other four movies. The film has also run for 25 weeks which is the maximum. 2. However, some movies have a great opening sale but ended up with significantly lower total gross sales and vis-a-versa. 3. In most cases, movies that have been released in more theaters have generated more sales. However, some movies have failed to gain high revenue despite releasing in more theaters. 4. Some exceptions also can be found, for example, there is a movie called “Hidden Figures” which has run for 46 weeks, but its total sales is “$ 169.61 million”. While “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” earned $532.18 million by running for only 20 weeks.
