Computer Networks are fundamental to organisations, enabling the effective management and dissemination of information and providing the services necessary to operate the organisation. Computer Networks are also used by organisations to provide essential resources and services in meeting the needs of its clients and to engage and share information with its business partners, and external entities with which they collaborate. It is essential for organisations to be able to develop, configure and implement computer networks to meet their present organisational business needs and provide a framework of best practice and resources to meet their future requirements as the organisational needs change over time. In this skills-based assessment, you will create a small network that requires connecting network devices and configuring host computers, with 3 Cisco Routers for basic network connectivity. Common utility commands will be used to test and document the network. This will demonstrate your knowledge and theory of communication within local and wide area networks and understanding of protocols in wired and wireless technologies.


Completion of this assignment will address the following learning outcomes:Apply the concepts of communication within local and wide area networks and internetworks including access techniques.Demonstrate an understanding of the protocols of wired and wireless technologies and their application in a professional computing context.Design and implement a simple local area network (LAN).
You are required to design an enhanced Network Topology derived through a configuration change request to meet new organisational business requirements. This will enable the company to expand into a different operating region to increase its sales and achieve it projected business growth.
