As per the observation of the various psychological impacts seen in the Casey et al. (2014) article, the observed patients projected several dimensions of effects when they were given vascular access to complete the Hemodialysis process. In fact, the rise of fear and concerns about the ‘quality and efficacy’ of an external procedure over their body was of primary concern.
They feared of having being caught by any unexpected infection due to catheter implants because they were not seemed sure about the sterilization process. It was more as if their ongoing query to ensure that the external equipment such as fistula and catheters were well cleaned, as they would not prefer having any other issue, other than the one for which they have presented in the hospital, to be surging up.
Additionally, their concerns were related to the disfigurement; the planting of needles in the body might put them in painful...
