Refugee Republic presents an online documentary that it allows to discover the daily life of a refugee camp in Iraq. It documents the entire scenario of the refugee camp through drawings, photos and videos. The presentation reflects the transformation of a temporary site into a small city. Moreover, it also portrays the life and the struggles faced by the refugee and hopes that are instilled among the residents.
The documentary presents the camp life at Camp Domiz which is a Syrian Refugee camp with 58000 registered refuses from Syria in North Iraq. Presentation typically shows that how a refugee camp gradually became a real city. The refugees are developing buildings in the camp temporary tents are becoming the built units of a rising town. Life of the people in the camp gradually transforming and they are constantly shifting from a temporary refuge to a town. People live and work goes to school, started business, got married, argue and have fun. The everyday life of the camp is changing (Refugee Republic, 2021). This is evidence that hundreds of refugee camps across the world have rapidly grown into mini societies and do the refugees became the citizens.
