Introduction
Tourism has always played an important role in the development of a country, a state or a city. It attracts more than just enthusiastic travellers; it brings in investment, business opportunities, adds value to the place in terms of tourist destinations. The pap
ers that discuss the notion of enhancing the Tourism experience, encouraging global investments and its role in a holistic development of the geographic region are titled “Getting ready to offer an authentic Adelaide experience” and “Promoting Investment in Tourism Industry of Nepal”. The first paper is aimed at the stakeholders of Adelaide to identify area that would cater to the international and domestic tourists who visit the city. (Lee, 2015) has defined the issues that need the stakeholder consideration which include tourist’s preferences, target consumers, long term growth and market expansion. The key issue is the undervalued state of Adelaide as a tourist destination and the author points out the untapped prospect of tourism in Adelaide. The author delves into the promotional gaps, collaborations with all stakeholders not fully exploited. The latter’s objective is to promote investment in the tourism sector of Nepal by introducing relevant information to boost the growth in tourism by increasing inflow of funds. (Anon., 2014) does a gap analysis on the tourism policies, existing trends and the established framework to extract relevant information to ignite growth and lure in investments. This discussion paper served to encourage alterations in the tourism industry during the Nepal Economic summit in 2014. Both papers discuss a section of untapped potential that can propel the corresponding areas to immense growth when taken advantage of.
Structure Critique
The facts about Adelaide’s existing tourism status has been described accurately while laying out statistics about the impact it has on South Australia’s tourism revenue. The paper is mostly focussed on the role of the Adelaide’s City Council in making the necessary improvements and in doing so the title to offer an authentic Adelaide experience isn’t explained much. The author captures every detail regarding the productive collaboration between the ACC and the stakeholders. Issues to be considered are precise and well covered. However, the tourism prospects of the other South Australian regions are overshadowed by the extensive focus on Adelaide. According to (Anon., 2019) there is a list of reasons why Adelaide is considered a preferred tourist destination which the paper hasn’t highlighted.
The paper “Promoting investment in the Tourism sector of Nepal” has done a brilliant job in detailing the existing state of the tourism sector and its contribution to the economy of Nepal....
