Overall therapy and treatment methods that are offered to individuals with disabilities has undergone pragmatic changes over the past couple of years. Underlying aim is to provide better care and platform to enrich health. With reference to the video, "Lost in Laconia", we can witness the past treatment which lacks support, knowledge, research and compassion. All these factors actually lead to cruel and harsh treatment to individual with disability. Essentially, people have mindset to consider individuals with physical disability as a burden on society and their families. Furthermore, people consider individuals with mental disabilities as beneath human and completely crazy. Majority of time they were stigmatized as weak, feeble-minded along with passing a regulation of law to sterilize these individuals since they couldn’t reproduce as placed in the social places and institutions. In present dynamics, treatment has transformed for the better with reference to disabled individuals to pursue somewhat normal lives.
