Did the counselor use the basic listening sequence to draw out and clarify the client’s story or concern? How effectively?
1. Provide nonjudgmental, factual, and specific feedback for the counselor on the use of the specific influencing skill (logical consequences, instruction/psychoeducation, stress management, or TLC).
2. As you view the totality of the session, where was the client at the beginning on the Client Change Scale? Where was he or she at the conclusion? What aspects of the skill or strategy impressed you as most useful and effective?
