Topic: The conversion of the Medicaid insurance policy in grant in aid
programs for people belonging to low income groups and people having some kind of disability.
1. The problem that the Medicaid policy is trying to fix includes the conversion of the Medicaid program into the grant finance provision program for people who are sick and who belong to economically weaker sections of society. Before the implementation of programs that arrange for specific funds from the federal government to the state and the local governments under the Medicaid policy schemes people belonging to the low-income groups are benefitted if they are sick and if they want to avail themselves of the hospital treatment facilities. Since earlier times, the USA President George W Bush proposed a change and a transition in the healthcare policy in 2003. The healthcare policy transition to block grants is trying to fix the problem of providing finances to the people who are ill and who belong to economically weaker sections (Lambrew).
2. The current situation of the character is to arrange and divide the Medicaid healthcare policies into different sections and parts like A, B, C, and D (Medicare) which includes the covering of the different costs and classifies the cost application according to the financial situation of the person who is injured and according to the type of injury from which that person may be suffering.
