Examine your leadership style. Which behaviors are you most likely to demonstrate? Which decision-making style are you more likely to use? Why?
My leadership style incorporates a few of the examples listed in our reading material. I demonstrate the Emotional Stability needed in stressful situations. The Dominance leadership to be decisive and quickly figure out answers to problems that may arise. I am self assured and move on from mistakes and learn from them. Enthusiasm is another trait I hold. Energetic and open for change are a must for leaders. To pinpoint just one trait as a leader would be almost impossible to do. You have to be many things as a leader.
The Democratic approach to decision making is used the most by myself and fellow co-workers/leads. At my job there are 12 employees two with Lead responsibilities. We have a 30 minute meeting in the morning to discuss the days tasks and will take feedback from the others and take into consideration their points of view. I feel when you involve the input of the employees they will be willing to work their best. It gives them a sense that they are an important equation in the day to day process of getting tasks accomplished.
