Answer 1: The early 19th century experienced political participation in the United States of America as voting rights extended to all adult white men. Jacksonian Democrats were presented against the Whigs during the 1820s as the Second Party system was formed in the country. It was known in the political democracy of the States that a generation of American Statesmen formed the structures of politics and it was evident that every US President had been a slaveholder except for John Adams who was not. The entire generation of Presidents associated themselves with groups that presented refined class and distinguished interests. They were influential amongst the masses because of which they saw themselves as slave-keepers or men who owned lesser men.
American people however had realized their American dream by then and the dream was that of a free, fair, and equal democracy. The first half of the nineteenth century saw the uprising that demanded the boycott of white men from participating in the politics of the United States. The new states denied white men to own property to vote. Presidential electors were chosen by the general voters and not the legislatures of the state. Andrew Jackson won the presidential election of 1828 and the win was nothing less than what will be known as the sweeping victory in the history of American history. Jackson believed that acceptance of the absolute majority was a mark of democracy in the United States. The first-ever westerner elected as the President gradually became the hero of the common man. He looked one of them, if not a man of distinguished interests and refined class. The Whigs challenged the Democrats with a different agenda. They believed in active support from the government given sustainable prosperity. Jackson started a new era in the developments of political democracy of the States.
