The main aim of this research report is take to overview of Biometric authentication technology and on their applications. There is discussion about the various problems or challenges face by Biometric authentication technology. At last there is discussion about the future trends in biometric technologies in this field. From last few years, the various Biometric technologies such as Voice scanning, fingerprint scanning, facial scanning and iris have seen in great use.
Biometric authentication system faces various security challenges related to data theft, false identity, document fraud, cybercrime etc. Today security and privacy is biggest problem everywhere so there is need to keep in mind the end goal to protect biometric authentication data from theft or steal. As everyone know that biometric technologies are inherently recognized with ID and authorization so security and privacy issues become sure. There are still some security issues in biometric techniques which might slow down its adoption in industry. The security of Biometric techniques is much better than traditional security system such as passwords but there are still some flaws.
