In the context of news reporting
race, class and gender specifically play an important role. As the news reporting is related to specifically outlining the several events and incidents that are prevalent in society. It specifies that the public and the public need to have information regarding all the things that are currently observed in society. The involvement of race, class, and gender sometimes restricts the authenticity of the news and the way it is reported. As in most of the cases, it is observed that the news reporting did only focuses on some subsequent sections as well as the ethnic groups. For instance, in the countries like US and UK, the news reporting is focused on outlining the news that is generally related to the whiter section of society. Along with it gender and class also play an important role in news reporting as the news reporting need to be in accordance with and align the news regarding all the subsequent sections (Cheng & Foley, 2018).
