Week10&11– 5th& 12thJune



Purpose


To assess student’s ability to apply the theoretical underpinnings of this unit to a real-world (case study) context and to communicate their findings/solutions effectively to their audience; thereby enabling students to enhance their oral presentation skills. Working in a group will also aid in developing students’interpersonal competencies and levels of emotional intelligence via these interactions.



Description


Students will be allocated to a group (2 students in each group/ 3 for odd-numbered classes).



Students will be required to deliver a20-25 minutepresentation based on the case study questions assigned for that week.



Students are expected to develop a PowerPoint presentation that addresses ALL case study questions (Aminimum of 10and amaximum of 15PowerPoint slides are expected).



Please note that all students are expected to contribute equitably to the presentation preparation and delivery. If you are having issues with a group member the lecturer must be advisedat least two weeks in advance of your presentation. Insufficient notice will mean that nothing can be done to remedy the situation.



A list of references should also be included on the last slide andcitationsshould be incorporated throughout the slides.

Criteria that will be used to assess the group case study presentation:

•Theoretical overview and application•Case study context and problem identification•Depth of research•Presentation structure, delivery and audience engagement•Presentation aids and creativity•Timing of presentation

Submission method



Week10&11, submit presentation slides via Turnitin.



Return method



Comments will be available immediately after presentation (in-class). Marks will be available in (Moodle) Gradecentre.
