The Haystacks painted by Monet expresses the importance of Hays in Agriculture. An impression of sustainability is created through it. Called the father of impressionism, Monet mixed pastel colors with oil paints to bring out the changing variations of the haystacks (YouTube). He represented the stacks of wheat or barley hay in a field through his series of paintings to bring out the change in it at several different times. Born on November 14, 1980, in Paris, Monet lived in the city of Havre (Normandy).
Monet developed an interest towards painting and he was encouraged by his father to join the Swiss Academy (Paris City Vision). Monet’s haystacks is a series of painting which include stacks of harvested wheat to bring out the change of light and shadow through the painting. Monet beautifully presents the change of the position of the light through his paintings. The shadow created by the haystacks represents the different position of the lighting. Such clear detailing in the picture creates an impression of sustainability in the field of harvesting and hence Monet is called the father of impressionism (YouTube).
Monet used a balance in the visual objects of the Haystacks. He uniformly distributed the colors with fine brush strokes that provided a detailing to the painting. As supported by Zhao and Zhu, Monet was an abstract painter who brought out his impression with vivid colors and fine brush strokes. The mixture of colors was used to give the haystacks a lively effect, which are soothing to the eyes.
