Management function is based on the past experiences gathered by the manager from their mistakes, because the management practices and perspective always change with time. Meng and Boyd (2017, pp. 717-728) has discussed that the change takes place because of many factors such
as environmental factors, social factors, political factors and the economic forces. The past management system worked on the classical perspective, which focuses on the individual’s productivity. The classical management theory is based on the beliefs that a person has only economic and physical needs. However, the classical theory does not take into the account of the social needs or the job satisfaction. The past management theory is based on many bad decisions or any kind of decision during that period, which does not put any relevancy to the present situation (Reina et al., 2018, pp. 5-18). Similarly, studying the future is also not relevant because we do not know what is waiting or what kind of challenges will come in the future. This can be explained by the recent pandemic situation of Covid-19. Before the onset of this pandemic in late 2019, no one had expected this kind of situation is going to occur, and hence no organization or country had prepared any kind of management plan to handle this situation. The trends of future can be predicted as supported by Pitsis et al. (2018), however, the exact result or situation cannot be predicted. Hence, it is important to study the present trends and practices of the management. In today’s world, management is dependent on technology, which helps clear and strong communication between customers, employee, shareholders, partners and other stakeholders. However, understanding the past management practices will help avoiding the mistakes and bad decisions taken, as to avoid any more challenges, while saving time and resources to make a path for the future management practices.

A multinational corporation must try to attain a balance of autonomy and integration. The decision taken by the organization is dependent on the culture of where the subsidiaries are located. Zhang and You (2021, pp. 100837) have discussed that an organization needs to maximize their potential assets and their capabilities. Th organization also requires to have strategies to minimize their competitive disadvantages or the weaknesses they have. Therefore, the organization requires to identify how the global network and scale can be an advantage for the organization and the areas for local connections and tailoring is an advantage for the company. This will bring down a middle path, which will optimise the autonomy and integration, to create an optimum balance specific to the business activities done by the organization. Ambos, Fuchs and Zimmermann (2020) have discussed that too tight integration by the organization will mean that they follow only one culture and that could result into disturbance in the internal and the external environment of the organization. However, too much autonomy is also not good for the organization, because this could lead the individual subsidiaries to develop their own internal cultures, which might not help in meeting the intended brand of the organization. An organization should always maintain certain level of autonomy and must also allow certain level of cultural differences. However, they must also require to maintain certain level of integration, which will ensure that the auto9nomus culture does not go out of course from their real purpose in the organization. Any action taken by an organization must carry on with effectiveness in their purpose. Ruggie (2018, pp. 317-333) has discussed that the subsidiaries in the organization will become more effective if they are able to develop their own autonomous cultures and the environment. This will help the organization to complete their purpose of working in different places with different cultures.

Decision making carries importance for every individual, because it helps in selecting the best alternative, ensure the continuity of the business, proper utilization of the resources, preparation of plan and policies, facilitate innovations, helps in the growth and evaluate individual performance (Paschek et al., 2018, pp. 18).
