Then complete a 4-5 page paper that includes an overview of the substance, history as related to drug enforcement, physiological and psychological effects, current scope of use/abuse/dependence, treatment and recovery and effects on society. Papers are to be in APA format double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman Font with one-inch margins. A minimum of four references is required therefore citation of such references is mandatory.

Introduction
The Schedule One Drugs are the substance, which has very increasing potential for abuse. In addition, these drugs do not have accepted use in any kind of treatments or medicines. The drugs, which lack proper safety under health and medical supervision, would fall in the category of schedule one drugs. These drugs are illegal in the court of law to use, produce or distribute.
Many substances come in this category including Opioids and the derivatives of opioids. One of the derivatives of opioids is Heroin also known as diacetylmorphine (Misailidi et al., 2018). Heroin was initially produced for medicinal purposes. This was later found to be addictive and have affected negatively widely all around the world.
As procuring heroin is very expensive and it affects the brain to require the substance in increasing amount, this addition has caused evils to the society and to the individuals themselves from being affected physically and mentally from depression, anxiety and in some cases deaths.
Overview of the Substance
Diacetylmorphine and Diamorphine are some other names of popularly known as Heroin. It is made from morphine is an opioid drug taken from a natural substance. It is taken from the opium poppy plants present in the seedpod of the plant. Usually grown in Mexico, Columbia, Eastern and Western Parts of Asia, this recreational drug is an opioid used for its euphoric impression on its consumer (Brighthaupt, Schneider, Johnson, Jones & Johnson, 2019). It can be taken in various ways inhaled or smoked, can be snorted but it is mostly injected. Sometimes taken orally, its effects can stay for long time with an instant reaction.
The black-tar heroin is a black sticky substance unlike the other forms of the drug, which are powdered some, in white color and some dark brown color. All these forms are highly addictive type of narcotics. It also has various other named, which depend on regions and demographical locations such as TNT, horse, 8-ball (heroin mixed with cocaine) and caballo in Spain, big H, Junk as well as Smack (O’Donnell, Gladden & Seth, 2017).
It is illegal as it is very addictive and has dangerous side effects while codeine and morphine are legal for its medicinal purpose. The infamous drug also has medicinal value. Diamorphine is used widely in the medical fraternity in many countries. It is used as a painkiller, mostly prescribed in the cases of cardiac arrest or patients of child delivery.
