Each field of work has one or more professional organizations that issue standards for that field. For Psychology it is APA; for educational leadership it is the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) that presents standards for leadership in education.



Instructions


For this written assignment, first research and review the standards that are most closely associated with the field in which you are interested. Specifically identify the standards that address ethics.


Then write a 1,050- to 1,400-word (3-4 page) paper that addresses the following:



  • Identify the ethical standards for your field of study.


    • For each ethical standard, address why you believe the ethical standard is included and why it is important.


  • Identify three current key ethical challenges facing individuals in your field of study.


    • Explain why each challenge is important and how it should be addressed.

    • Explain how you personally can avoid the challenge.



Cite at least two scholarly sources in addition to the required reading that support your reflections.

Majority of us perceive ethics as the morals which helps us in distinguishing between what is wrong and right. Most of us comprehend ethical norms very early in life like at home, school, church and in other social settings. These norms are so ubiquit
ous that it can be considered as a way of life at the same time there are plausible rationale about how people connect with the subjects, interpret, balance and apply in various ways of life (Von Glinow, M. A., & Novelli, L., 1982).
By the virtue of this assignment, I have performed extensive research about the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLIC) standards have been developed recently by the Council of Chief State Officers in close collaboration with National Policy Board for the Educational Administration (NPBEA). Underlying purpose is to enable the growth of the stakeholders with integrity and impact. This can boost the strength of the program and drive insights to light. Essentially, majority of academic programs utilizes the ISLLC standards for the requirement of overall learning portfolio. Technically, there are six standards which are followed by the Knowledge essential for the standards to be implemented at the ground level. The Dispositions or the attitudes actually manifest the accomplishment of underlying standards. Third aspect is the Performance which could be experienced by the administrators who can accomplish the standards (Fritz, J. M. H., Arnett, R. C., & Conkel, M., 1999).
Delving deeper into six standards which are broadly spans around the ISLLC standards comprising majorly around the core aspects of Knowledge, Disposition and Performance.
First standard regards school administrator as the educational leader who enables and promotes the success of the all the stakeholders. In order to facilitate the overall development of the stakeholders there is requirement of strong engagement activities like articulations, development, stewardship and implementation of the vision for learning that shares and support the community.
