Providing feedback is a great way to communicate to get better responses and results from your team. How can you expect change if you don't speak up about it? To work together and continue to build successful relationships then giving feedback can be something to be included in the growth. According to the article "Employees who receive performance feedback are much more likely to improve their performance than those who don’t get feedback. (Klein,2021). She stated that there is a tool called Nano tool to help provide feedback to increase performance but there is more than one way to do so. For example, Self-assessments would be a great way to provide feedback about the workplace to determine if there's any need for improvement or change within the workspace. Some of the expectations are a stronger firm, " Two expectations are outlined: performance at a client site and organizational citizenship behaviors (OCB), which involve internal initiatives to increase firm value."(Klein, 2021). This means that the multiple ways to interpret feedback should come out with positive outcomes. This is also a great way to improve communication between workers who don't speak up. If we do quizzes or assessments like the SSI then how will professors know that the class needs improvement. From personal experience, I believe positive and negative feedback will show improvement in growth in a person because not only are you pinpointing the right things a person is doing but stating the growth areas can help a person be the best they can be without feeling bad. There are many ways to provide positive and negative feedback without hurting someone's feelings like having one-to-one meetings or doing group work activities to show that if they know they need to work on something they can state it themselves and state what can they do to help improve in those areas or just asks other for advice as well.

Black Women Leaders: Navigating the Intersection of Gender and Race is the article I want to talk about. The story describes how professors Stella Nkomo and Ella Bell Smith struggled to publish their book about the disparities in experiences between black and white women in corporate America years ago because it was so divisive and endangered their academic careers.

In order to demonstrate that gender is not the sole aspect that defines a woman's career, the book details the experiences of black and white female managers. The effects of race, gender, and class are significant. The professors discussed the cultural barriers that women of color frequently encounter when working in an environment with a large white population. They put their life-changing experiences behind them in favor of a more socially acceptable identity. It's a legacy of a segregated America, where even places of worship have historically been segregated based on race.

A stereotype is a person's set of assumptions about the traits or qualities of a group. People must understand how stereotypes influence their perspective because they often employ them unintentionally or even without being aware of it. Due to gender bias on the part of the investors, female entrepreneurs seeking investment for their start-ups have a harder time than their male counterparts securing venture capital. Compared to men, women are more inclined to hire other women. Compared to white women or men in general, women of color are more adversely affected by sex-role stereotypes.

I can't say that the piece surprised me in any way. In my own personal life, I have gone through experiences. People of color reported feeling greater perceived prejudice and receiving less psychological assistance than white people, according to studies on racial stereotypes. Additionally, perceived racial discrimination was linked to less favorable work attitudes, physical and mental health, and organizational civic behavior.

This study can be utilized to raise awareness inside an organization. People have a tendency to think that something doesn't really exist when they don't have to deal with the difficulties and anxieties that other people do. Just because you haven't experienced something doesn't mean that others haven't. Companies must be able to consider both race and gender if they are serious about comprehending systematic prejudice. If they don't look at how women of color are left behind, racism will never end.

Dear Mykayla,
I found your post extremely interesting and intriguing! Indeed
, feedback is one of the powerful tools to improve and enhance oneself. The example you shared about performance management in the organisations are very relevant to the discussion.
