Read the following questions carefully and complete your answer in the space provided below each question. Use the word limit as an indication of the detail required in your answer.
Question 1.1
a) Define what the client business domain is and explain why it is important for the project team when trying to understand the business needs? (Approx. 50-75 words)
The business domain of the client is more complex, and it needs to be specific as it will be characterised by the culture of the whole company and the nature of business model. It can be defined as the software project which need certain expertise for the business through main which it will affect. Now subject matter expert always tries to manage it well it is raised with the strategic consulting or business model in. If we have a well-defined proven methodology, then it becomes much easier to execute the whole project. zee can be used on the basis of processes and responsibilities which can be applied again and again.
b) List four (4) questions you might ask to define a client’s business domain.
(Approx. 30-50 words)
1. The customer of the business domain for client will stop
2. what product will be sold by the client.
3. What platform will be selected by the client to sell the product either online, in person says or over phone.
4. The cost structure for the whole product.
c) Explain why you have chosen these questions. (Approx. 50-75 words)
I have selected these questions as these are the basic questions and high-level questions which can help us to obtain the big picture overview about the business model. As we are working over the specific project it is more important to understand the requirement specifically and get down into the detail with these questions. This is useful when we are creating any project specific requirement questionnaire.
Question 1.2
a) Explain the role of stakeholders in the information gathering process.
(Approx. 75-100 words)
The stakeholder plays important role when we are gathering the information. The stockholders are the direct related actors with the system will stop these can be internal or external which can affect the system and its processes. They are very important to be questioned to collect the information as they will be involved in the process to identify the requirements. We can ask them about the person who is related with any specific Department and their processes. We can contact them to understand the requirements for their input into the system.
b) When gathering information how much involvement should there be with the stakeholders? Explain your answer. (Approx. 100-150 words)
It is very good responsibility for the facilitator to always try to keep an eye over the individuals who can help us to understand the issue. We can have conversation with the stakeholders to address the issues for the project. We can have an eye over the unrealistic expectations which are related with the stakeholders so that it becomes easier to have a specified time frame or the budget availability or technology availability. We can find that when working with the clients we need to have a little bit of education upfront. If the stakeholder is able to understand what is possible and what is not and the reason behind it becomes easier to control the expectations. The stakeholders need to be involved completely to understand their input in the system and their expected output.
Question 1.3
Research and evaluate two (2) examples of quality assurance practices that would be required when determining business requirements. Make sure you include PDCA as one quality assurance practice in your answer.
Include all your research information sources in the References box below using APA referencing style. Include at least two (2) references for each of your chosen quality assurance practices. (Approx. 100-150 words)
There are different quality assurance practices which can be utilised by the developer. The first one is the PDCA and second one is ISO 9000.
In PDCA it stands for plan, do, check and act. Try to recognize in opportunity and plan the change. Perform the testing over the change in carry out some small-scale study for stop review for the test, analyse the results and try to find out the learning outcomes. On the basis of the learning outcome try to take actions.
The ISO 9000 was established in 1987. The organization tries to have certified ISO 9000 for audited on the basis of their functions, services, processes and the products. The major objective is to review and verify whether the organization is able to carry out the process as per expectation and whether their current process needs improvement or not.
