Their names are Tammy, Ken, John, Mike, Jane, Art, and Gordon. Each of these characters has a very compelling story. This film discusses criminogenic factors, doing time in a correctional facility and the challenges of reintegrating back into Canadian society. You should be asking yourself the following questions and addressing them in this paper: What did you learn about the role of incarceration, probation and parole from the individual you selected? What correctional approach was taken (Punishment vs. rehabilitation)? Why? Was this the appropriate response to the specific situation? How might these individuals have been better served by the criminal justice system and society? What may have been different if these offenders had received treatment based on risk,need and responsivity? What resources and services would have improved the outcome for these offenders?
