Corcym is a regulated biomedical manufacturing company headquartered in Torino, Italy, is one of the leading manufacturers of biological heart valves. With offices in Burnaby (BC, Canada), Toronto (ON, Canada), Torino (Italy), Paris (France), and a new offices New Delhi (India), and Shanghai (China), Corycm continues to expand its global presence.
The new acquisitions in New Delhi and Shanghai, have expedited the need to establish a modern and standardized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform across all global sites, and a corporate wide enterprise data warehouse solution, and reporting tools. Based on results of the discovery analysis prepared by a management consulting firm, the recommendation is to purchase SAP Cloud suite subscription, which would provide access to selected ERP Modules, Data Warehouse, and analytical reporting tool.
With Support from Quantum the management consulting firm, interviews were held and your firm has been selected by Corcym to lead the project implementation. In order to formalize the project and move forward, you are required to prepare a

- SAP licenses monthly cost for 5200 cloud licenses (support, maintenance included): $250,000
- Optional: Monthly cost of Warehouse & Manufacturing Resource Management SAP Cloud Modules: $100,000
- Project Expense Budget (for the entire project): $5,500,000 US (SAP, FIN & HR cloud licensing, salary, training, food, travel)
- Project Capex Budget: $2,000,000 US (Hardware modules, management consulting, change management)

- Annual licensing for SAP cloud which has to be paid during the project: $250,000/month

Organization’s immediate corporate need is to have a common and accessible Payroll and
HRIS modules as part of Phase 1 across all offices. That said Manufacturing locations are pressing for the inclusion of warehouse and Manufacturing management modules and prioritized as part of Phase 1. Currently the warehouse and manufacturing resource planning modules are quite dated and don’t address the organization objective of increasing production throughput by minimizing processing constraints and overall efficiency in the manufacturing process to support sales and distribution.
Current Risks:
Vancouver, Toronto, Torino, Paris are running an old version of SAP, and its coming to an end of life support as of July 15
th

New Delhi and Shanghai offices are using PeopleSoft HR and Finance and have no familiarity with SAP
- Paris has a much older workforce and not very supportive of this chang
- Only Toronto and Torino have scored favourably for Cloud Readiness
- Business Processes in each of the locations are unique and not standard impacting the implementation of a standardized/non-customized SAP cloud system
- Concern from management that we may not have enough capacity from our available resources to allocate to these projects.
