In the month of September 2018, Facebook suffered a security breach where the private data of around 50 million users was exposed. This attack is considered to be the biggest in the organization’s 14-year history. Previously Facebook had faced another scandal where a British firm had accessed private data of up to 87 million users. This time a code in Facebook’s feature was exploited to access users’ account details and take control of them.
