As mentioned by Jickling, and Sterling (2017), the philosophy behind introduction of the sustainability education in the early education setting is to make the strong base of the children towards environment and sustainable way of living. The idea behind implementing the sustainable education so that children get attracted towards the environment and take care of the environment. As suggested by Öhman (2016), it has been seen that most of the early childhood setting have taken various kinds of steps to implement sustainability education philosophy.
The implementation of any philosophy or change cannot be successful without the collaboration and communication between staff members. Once the framework for the change has been implemented, the next major step is to make sure that all the staff can be successfully communicated about the pedagogy and practices that are going to be implemented in the early education setting. As mentioned by Valdez, Peterson, and Stevenson (2018), communication plays very important role in education setting. Communication is a backbone of all the professions in building effective team which can be helpful in running the place or completion of the project successfully. It has been seen that communication skill is one of the main skills which makes the individual an effective leader.
As mentioned by Mak (2017), it has been seen that all the staff members in the education setting needs to behave like a team and work as a team to achieve learning outcome as educators and successfully giving training to the children so the they can achieve their learning transition. In this case, sustainability education philosophy is going to be implemented in the early education setting. The communication is necessary among the staff to make it clear, the way sustainability can be implemented and achieved in the organisation. one of the first steps is arranging the meeting with all the staff members with a clear framework of implementation strategy. As stated by Rothaermel (2016), when change is implemented in the organisation, there is need to take all the employees under the flap before implementing the change. The message of the change can be communicated to staff member only by giving them the proper framework on how, when and why changes are implemented.
As mentioned by Schaefer, Diehl, and Terlutter (2018), communication with staff members about the changing style of teaching and the teaching approach which can be selected is necessary to clear any kind of misunderstanding among all the staff members. It has been seen that all the educators need to implement the same teaching style recommended by the law and the organisation. The preparation of the elaborated PowerPoint presentation which contains all the elements related to the teaching style and the reasons for implementing the change must be given. On the contrary, this presentation must be followed by thorough discussion where each staff member can ask various questions related to the topic so that all the doubts can be cleared.
