Sustainability and smartness in a city can be promoted through multiple dimensions. These dimensions are society, economy, environment and institutional. From the social aspect, living standards and mobility to people are highly focused areas. Offering accessibility to smart equipment, innovative technologies, safe transformation system, and efficient transportation system to ensure a better society. Nevertheless, such initiatives will help people to be aware of the smarter way of leading their lives.
The next dimension is called the Smart economy; in this aspect, the country needs to be competitive in a global context. Nevertheless, an attitude toward being an entrepreneur should be present among the people of the nation (Komeily and Srinivasan, 2017). Sustainability can also be shown by offering a high level of productivity. The government of the nation must offer access to broadband internet to the people of the nation in order to help them to be aware of the outer world. Such awareness has a high impact on enhancing the country’s economy. Sustainability and smartness can also be promoted in a city by adopting electronic business practices.
