Guidelines for Assignment Choose a company of your own. Critically analyse the extent to which the company abides by the New code of corporate governance. You are also required to rate the company that you have chosen on the extent of compliance (on a scale of 0, 1 and 2 ) (The code is downloadable on the website of the National Committee on Corporate governance and is also available online). You may be guided by the SCORECARD available in the Code itself. Please bear in mind that there are certain provisions that are vague. You therefore need to use your knowledge of CG to identify suitable ways to assess extent of compliance of your chosen company. You are required to present the following information in your presentation The report should investigate on the following aspects: · Composition and Balance of the Board (INEDS, EDS, NEDS) · Remuneration and Reward of Directors · Financial Reporting · Board’s Responsibility for Risk Management and Internal Control · Shareholders’ Rights and Responsibilities · Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics NOTE: Your report should not exceed 20 pages You may opt to present your work in the following format Principle Assessment Discussion Rating on a scale of o (no disclosure), (1 adequate disclosure) (2 good disclosure) Principle 1: Governance Structure Does the company have a board charter?
