    • Strengths and weaknesses are traits internal to the hospital (i.e., strong physician loyalty to hospital, aging building, and availability of financial resources).

    • Opportunities and threats are external to the hospital, such as a mall facility available for lease or a competitor hospital opening two physician practices in your market.






    Write a 700- to 1,050-word analysis that incorporates the key components of a SWOT analysis for the scenario described in Week 1 to generate a list of perceived strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The analysis will include the following:



    • Analyze the purpose of conducting the analysis in the context of the scenario.

    • Analyze the limitations and advantages of conducting a SWOT analysis on your own (vs. with a group of stakeholders).

SWOT analysis stands for strengths, limitations, oppo
rtunities and risks. Nearly everybody is conscious of SWOT in the world of business. The evaluation aims at identifying the external and internal factors that could affect any company's potential success. As mentioned by Abdel-Basset, Mohamed and Smarandache (2018), in a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Challenges), the four factors listed are aimed at determining the correlation between a company's internal strengths and weaknesses and diversity and differences and threats.
According to the existing resources and activities of the organization (Stevens District Hospital in this case), such as the industry, in which the entity operates, SWOT recognizes the strategies used to create a particular business model. It considers benefits and disadvantages that affect its success, both inside and outside the company. The analysis improves the employee forecast or estimate emerging times that advantage any organization's (Stevens District Hospital) decision-making procedure.
Over the years, healthcare providers have been under mounting pressure to much more efficiently and cost-effectively provide safer treatments while respecting patient privacy and ensuring compliance with the ever regulations. A significant aspect of the strategic planning phase is the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) report, which should be evaluated on an on-going basis.
The SWOT review supports the business plan that acts as a map for staff to obtain advice on how the company should be guided. In order to manage systemic change and set concrete targets for the future of the organization, SWOT analysis requires a scan of the natural atmosphere, both domestically and abroad.
