Patient safety is one of the most critical and non-negotiable considerations concerning healthcare industry. This is majorly because of the fact that healthcare providers are required to ensure patient safety from all other preventable risks. ‘Failure to rescue’ is a condition where a generally healthy hospitalised patient develops certain complications and as a result, their health deteriorates leading to subsequently adverse outcomes.
It would be essential to understand that the deterioration and complication might involve signs and symptoms, which could be dismissed because of negligence; thus, nurses are vital concerning prevention from failure to rescue.
