To complete your company analysis:




Research the company (I chose BEGA Company). Start with the company’s most recent annual reports. You can get a lot of information online on websites. Most libraries also have some publications that you can use. Your research should also include the industry in which the company operates, including its main competitors.A brief introduction about the company, including its history, main product(s), gross sales, net income, stock price movements, dividend payments, debt and equity structure and the number of shares outstanding, etc. When you report the numbers, make sure you include several years’ data (past data can use between the year 2015-2019/ 2020-2024 for the future.) to see whether there is a trend. Some graphs may be helpful.

Introduction
Bega is a food and milk products manufacturing company established in a small town known as Bega, in the state of New Sout
h Wales in Australia in the year 1899. Apart from NSW it is now present in the state of Victoria and Queensland. It was a company which was formed by the local farmers and gradually it became a public company and was listed in the ASX in the year 2011. Presently, the CEO of Bega Company is Paul Van Heerwaarden and is one of the largest dairy firms in Australia producing approximately 750 million litres in FY 2018 (Bega Company - Annual Report, 2019).
History
In the 1850’s the dairy farming commenced in Bega Valley and in the year 1899 the local farmers of Bega Valley started the Co-operative Creamery Company. In the year 1900 the dairy factory was inaugurated by the farmers. In the 1960 the company commenced the processing and packaging of raw milk. In 1997, the cheesing manufacturing facility was started and went in a joint venture with Dairy Farmers for distribution of fresh milk in NSW and throughout Australia. In 2011, it became public company and listed in the ASX. From 2014 onwards it started producing canning and blending plants. In 2017, they acquired the meal business of Mondelez International and also started producing spray milk powder for the infants. They acquired the peanut Company of Australia. Presently, in 2020 they started Purple Hive Project by B honey and also acquired the dairy and drinks business of Japan’s Lion Company at a price of $534 million (Bega Company - Annual Report, 2019).
