a. The four critical management skills are:
i) Leadership Skills: A manager should possess leadership quality that ensures delivery of work efficiently and timely thereby maintaining smooth functioning of work flow within the enterprise. A manager is responsible for reportin
g of all the projects and hence he should be updated about every project respectively. He should be able to guide the subordinates in case of any requirements and ensuring that ultimate objective of the enterprise has been achieved.
ii) Planning Skills: A manager should plan the organisation’s vision appropriately as without planning nothing would go smoothly in the long run. He should be able to make different strategies which are useful for meeting the organisation’s vision. Make a list of all the challenges that would be facing by the enterprise and find the required solution to deal with the same.
iii) Communicate Skills: A manager should be able to communicate their organisation’s objectives to all the employees effectively as their understanding level brings the seriousness towards the work. A manager should pass information to employee correctly as that would act as a base for the output delivered. A manager may adapt various communication skills to reach out their subordinates such as oral communication, seminars, written mails, interviewing, conferences, etc.
iv) Organisational Skills: A manager is responsible for meeting the deadlines of various projects at the same time. Every project has various employees who deliver their direct report to the manager who is responsible for completing the project timely. An efficient organisational skill would be able for manager to stay up to date in every project.
