Assignment 3 Specifications Purpose: This unit aims to give you an opportunity to combine many facets of your acquired MBA skills into the production of a high-quality research report. Assignment 3 - the Research Design and Methodology - is to ensure each student is able to contribute to the construction of a written report demonstrating their understanding of the business research paradigm, appropriate methodology, data collection, analysis and interpretation. You will work in a group of up to 3 persons. Your respective contributions will be governed by your Team Charter, which you produced at the same time as your Topic Approval submission. Additionally, you are required to append to this report a statement indicating ‘who wrote which sections’. This assessment builds upon your Literature Review (assessment 2) in that you are now aware of what additional data is needed to lead you to the answer to your research question(s) (as defined in Topic Approval (assessment 1). To discover the required data may require you to search for additional secondary data, and will most probably also require the collection of primary data, by applying qualitative or quantitative methods. In this assessment you will document what your team has decided as the most appropriate way forward. If you choose a quantitative approach, you will go ahead and state your hypothesis, how you intend to verify it, what data you need, how it can be collected and analysed. [Note that you are NOT required to actually obtain primary data]. If you choose a qualitative approach, you will go ahead and decide which method is appropriate, how you would design the questionnaire (include a few example questions), and state how you would collate and interpret your data. [Note that you are NOT required to actually obtain primary data]. Your tutor will LEAD and FACILITATE you through the process, week by week. The learning will be progressive, so for best results you will need to be in weekly contact with your lecturer during class time at your campus. This submission requires an appendix in which it is stated which members of the group actually wrote which sections of the Business Research Design and Methodology. Assignment Structure should be as the following: 1. Introduction (an edited and adjusted version of your topic approval) including a justification for your research question(s). 2. A detailed research methodology addressing the qualitative-quantitative debate, hypothesis (if appropriate), additional secondary data, proposed primary data sample size and sampling approach, questionnaire design factors (include some sample questions), data collection method, envisaged analysis and interpretation. 3. A summary of your findings OR what you would expect to find 4. A conclusion (relating back to your original research problem and question(s)) 5. List of references in Harvard style (only for sources mentioned in this submission) 6. The appended statement of ‘Who Wrote What’ Note: Approval may be requested (Unit Coordinator and Degree Convenor) to undertake this assignment with variation, such as a Business Plan or Business Development Case. If that is approved the Assignment Structure and Marking Criteria may differ accordingly. Significance of the Topic The topic is significant since the issue tries to evaluate the importance of the team. The problem also tries to show how a team faces specific challenges while operating. A global team needs to perform various kinds of activities and tasks. Therefore, multiple issues like coordination, cooperation, time management need to be taken care of by the leaders while leading a global team (Dulebohn & Julia, 2017). Through this project, the various challenges would be highlighted that can be faced by the worldwide team while operating multiple tasks. With the help of the team charter, the topic would elaborate on the various divisions of tasks aligned in a global organisation. The importance of team roles and their performances would be analysed with the help of the topic. 2. Literature Review Concepts of a Global Team A global team is a team that works together in coordination across geographical barriers. The team members of a worldwide team work together with variations of the time zones. The focus of the work is stagnant, but the time zones are different due to the differences in the geographical distances. The global team refers to the group that is engaged in remote work. The unit does not meet in person over the organisation. The work and the decisions carried out in a global team are largely based on internet and cloud management systems (Smal & Jogeva, 2017). Global teams are often referred to as the virtual teams as well. Since the decisions and the complete workforce are completely engaged through virtual connections, the global team operates in virtual reality. For the successful outcomes of a global team, strong technical support is very much required. Team Theory Team Theory led by Belbin suggests that every individual behaviour is responsible for the coordination of a team. The theory suggests that it is the behaviour and the patterns of a team member that determines the progress of a group (Corban et al. 2020). It is the behaviour of the team members, which contributes to the team differently. Team theory is a mathematical analysis of cooperation and teamwork. The theory suggests that it is through the behaviours and the contributions of the team members that make the team high functioning. Way of Leading a Global Team There are various ways, through which the global team can be conducted. The ways are: · The setting of clear targets: Ambiguous and inconsistent decisions might

Executive Summary:
The following document represents a case where Flinders Enterprise Consulting is working on a contract of Robe Visitors Information Center, South Australia for providing them consulting services in order to prepare their support and infrastructure post Covid scenario as in lieu
of predictive reports it is expected to report visitors soon. RVIC has been having issues with its present infrastructure and peers entering the market. With 15 yrs. of repo on stake RVIC now seeks business consulting services from Flinders Enterprise Consulting.
Background:
Robe is a small town of 998 individuals located on the Limestone coast of South Australia. The town is renowned for the distinctive combination of historical buildings, pristine beaches and lakes, fishing opportunities and natural bush lands.
Robe is one of the oldest towns in South Australia; it was founded as a seaport 10 years after the province of South Australia was established. In the 1850’s it was South Australia’s 2nd busiest port (after Port Adelaide).  Robe attracted trade from the large hinterland that surrounded; the area that relied on Robe for trade extended far into Western Victoria. This history shaped development in the town with a lot of the historical features of the town, like roadside inns being designed for bullock teams that would bring in wool for trade from distant remote areas.
Being a seaport with a historically high amount of traffic, a number of shipwrecks occurred on the surrounding coast. This problem was addressed in 1973 with the opening of the iconic automatic lighthouse that is now a beloved local attraction. 7 of the most significant shipwrecks that have occurred on the limestone coast occurred in the area around Robe. While these historical wrecks still remain; perhaps some unknown wrecks are awaiting discovery by an adventurous visitor.
During the Victorian Gold Rush of 1857, Robe played a significant part as it was the landing spot for 16,000 Chinese immigrants; they travelled 320 km from Robe to Ballarat and Bendigo to avoid the £10 per person landing tax they would have incurred if they landed in Victoria.
Objective:
· The objective is to increase the Robe Visitor Information Centers revenue, to cover its operating costs
· Explore if there is a demand in the current market for locally produced merchandise to be sold through the Visitor Information Centre
· Develop a more effective visitor servicing strategy; explore other working visitor servicing models and how these techniques can be implemented
Methodology
The methodology to be used in this study would be mostly: Secondary research and primary survey.
Where the general philosophy of conducting the survey was to understand Demographics, customer preferences and customer oriented technology enhancement consulting service providing.

Sample Size Calculation:
General,
N = {Zα^2*[p*(1-p)]}/E^2
Where,
N = Sample Size.
Zα = Z score value as per the assumed confidence interval. {Assumed as per 95%=1.96}
P = Population Proportion. {p=0.4; reference Bloomberg}
E = Margin of Error {Assumed 5%}
Corrected Formula for Sample Size:
n = N/ [1+ [(N-1)/Target Population]]
Target Population = 41.9 million (Population of South Australia & Western New Zealand as on date)
Therefore, Corrected Sample Size = 36879
Data Prospective:
About The Data:
The survey data was taken from ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment New Zealand to understand the basic customer demographics, their during, before and after behavioral patterns and demands.
What factors accounts for the most satisfaction level, what customers generally seek their main information sources during, before and after the trip, their spending patterns etc.
The data was found to be profound as it was latest 2019 and demographics and culture is similar to South Australia so the relevant sampling frame was taken for the study.
As per the case similar variables were found in The Data:
1. Accommodation preferred
2. Activity of Interest
3. Technology Used
4. Transport
5. Social Media
6. Information Source
7. Expenditure Type
8. Trip Stage
9. Reason to Come Back
10. Satisfaction Reasons
We will try to provide the relevant findings from the analysis on the secondary data and try to provide the probable strategies that came out from the analysis:
1. TRIP STAGE (Basically when the customer start their research):
Basically in our research we discovered that the potential customer remains pretty much active in the system even after the trip as potential reason was found in the form of reviews and feedbacks therefore, it becomes very important not to underestimate the after the trip stage.
Secondly, dominant stage was as believed to be during the trip for activity planning, transport & other reasons like food, weather etc.
Inference for RVIC:
Basically strategy is to come up with a service that could not only play an active role in content providing but also take reviews and feedbacks that can generate more leads.
Basically customers are more fascinated for an on the go sort of a service mantra like mobile cab, restaurant bookings and weather summaries.
Feedback columns strategy will be discussed further after understanding the rest of the findings.
2. Social Media (Basically where the customers are?):

The above pie in pie chart shows as per the case that yes, 37% leads are on Facebook & Instagram so these platforms are relevant as far as marketing perspective is concerned apart from it Google leads together taken makes it 48%.
We expect since major visitors are senior citizens that is why a major chunk has gone into none. However, still we believe it’s a conservative output and yes social media is playing a dominant role in creating leads.
Inference for RVIC:
Basically strategy is to spend capital or do investments in regular media and content marketing over these platforms and that too on a regular basis with regular feed of blogs creating community pages, hubs, groups etc.
3. Information source (where the customers seek information from?):
This was the most important and eye opener section in the whole study basically although Facebook, Instagram and social media although was found to be where the leads were but the information source was completely different where the tourist relies upon.
