How Face ID works in Apple Watch
Face ID is an integrated application between iPhone and Apple Watch. In other words, in order to use the Face ID in an Apple Watch, the user needs to have a Face ID enabled iPhone. The first Face ID enabled iPhone was released in the year 2017 it is called iPhone X. Staring from iPhone X, all later releases have the feature Face ID.
The first and foremost important thing that needs to be done to use the Face ID feature is called "Synchronization”. A user needs to synchronize both the devices (iPhone and Apple Watch). To use Face ID in Apple Watch and iPhone both devices need to have updated system software. However, Apple has turned off the Face ID feature by default, which means a user needs to manually change the setting of his/her iPhone to use the face lock feature in the Apple Watch.
