“The sunset limited” revolves around two nameless characters, white and black. White, a college professor is distraught about his life and the state of the world and everything he believes in, leaving him with nothing to live for. In a bid to end his life, he hurls himself in front of a subway train. He is rescued by black, a born-again ex-convict. The movie takes place entirely in black's one-room apartment house, where he has brought white.
