An Overview of Capability and Competency
The assessment of capability and competency is more like self regulation procedure that is applied to the educationa
l context in early childhood care. In fact, there are specific measures which must be taken in order to evaluate the capability building as well as the structuring of competency in the behavior of the child (Rhodes et al, 2020). These measures range from cognitive to the gross motor skill analysis, depending on the age of the child. The most significant one, however, remains with the core of this development which is the cognitive one. The judgment over the capability of a child relies on the cognitive conditions in which he or she is placed. There is a perfect node of sharing the cognitive environment with the child, expecting his or her ability to adjust with the atmosphere of learning provided. At the same time, the capability of learning is tested by various observational activities that are designed to ensure that the child is capable of learning to a certain degree through observation (Konijn et al, 2018).
In the same context, the assessment of competency is a typical task to manage. One of the core principles of the same is to review the level of cognitive growth that the child goes through and what kind of reactions he or she makes to the environment. In other words, competency assessment is symbolical to the self regulation and development of positive behavioral approach that one would need to lead a social life as an adult (Konijn et al, 2018). The educators carry out certain descriptors which are essential components of the early childhood learning framework. These components are designed in the way to help educators see if the learning outcomes are maneuvered in the positive direction. These components are also driven from the five descriptors, as mentioned in the table below:

Examples Of Opportunities To Develop The Skills.
    Cognitive Development
Cognitive development is driven from the idea that young children take up implicit theory of learning through observation of people and objects. They tend to observe the activities as inputs and they precisely ensure that they imitate the actions into their own. It can be linked to sensory experiences of infants like touching the eyes and other parts of the body to see how they function. The cognitive environment is something that is expected to be created positively. This phase of development affects mostly the basic learning skills of children because they, by principle, have already initiated the process of learning at their respective homes (Rhodes et al, 2020).
One of the major opportunities to speed up the cognitive development will be to enhance the learning environment with digital means; the use of pictures and videos can be a good alternative to provide perfectly ambient atmosphere in early childhood class. This will enable children to work on their imagination with a view to learn new objects(Engel et al, 2018).
Secondly, the children can be given activities to develop their...
