Marking guide for the Development activity 1 Purpose of the current activity is to promote students capacity to extract and assimilate information for a designated source. Hence referencing is not needed. Because this the activity is in ‘Question and Answer’ format, marking guide is presented instead of a rubric. While answering the questions students are expected to Identify and discuss reason for rise of outbreaks (Q1) and possible solutions (Q2) based on their understanding from the information provided in video. Marking distribution: Q1: List the all reasons (according to the documentary) for rise of outbreaks – 4 marks Discuss how these factors contribute to the rise of outbreaks – 6 marks (You can add your opinion, if you find any of the reasons the video described you do not agree with.) Q2: List the all possible solutions (according to the documentary) – 4 marks Discuss how these solutions are likely to prevent future outbreaks – 6 marks (You can also agree or disagree with any of the solutions mentioned in the documentary.)
