Background:
In your previous assignments, you addressed several steps of the general planning process in developing a community-based health promotion program. Specifically, you assessed the health needs of the community, chose a health focus and a target population to serve, and developed the program mission, goals, and objectives. The next steps in the planning process is securing program resources, including:identifying funding,considering an appropriate budget, anddesignating administrative roles.



Instructions:


To complete this Assignment, you will conduct a web search to identify a potential grant-funding source for your program. You may select a government or private grant. When reviewing potential funding sources, look for alignment between the mission or goals of the funding source and your program. Make sure the funding source is for health promotion programming, not research.


Your Assignment should be approximately 2–4 pages in length, written in essay format and include appropriate supporting citations and references in APA format. Address the following topics:

    1. Briefly summarize the purpose and scope of your community-based health promotion program. Be sure to include the name of the community and the target population the program will serve.

    2. Review the need for this program.

Community-based health promotion progr
ams should be an integral part of the community systems. It has gained significant value in the context of health care activities especially for the lower economic group of people. In villages, the population belonging to the lower economic group is often found not to afford good health. Children suffer from malnutrition there. Thus, the health program should be organized for the village people belonging to the lower-economic group who suffer from malnourishment.
Discussion
Rural health funding and opportunities- a non-government organization has been active for the last 5-6 years in the health-care activities for rural people. The non-government agency works especially for poor people belonging to the lower economic group.
The agency looks for mal-nourished children. The activity of the agency includes regular health check-ups, free medicine distribution, health counseling, and others (Szanton et al., 2016). In the present health-care program the agency can look for the reasons behind the malnourishment of the children. The agency can donate free medicines for farmers, factory workers, and other poor populations (Hanklang & Sivasan, 2020). They would also check the purity of drinking water as the toxicity in drinking water can be responsible for several diseases.
This funding would screen the population based on their actual needs by forming a health-care based questionnaire. The agency would require cordial support from the target population. Moreover, moral support should also be required from the head authority of the village. Approval from the concerned authority would also be required (Lustbader et al., 2017). The agency would work by following every aspect of the ethics committee.
