The profession of psychology relies heavily on accurate, scholarly, succinct, and concise communication both in verbal and written modalities. Additionally, since Capella’s learning format is substantially dependent on classroom interaction between faculty and learners and between learners themselves in the electronic classroom, faculty have found that solid writing skills are one predictor of success in the School Psychology program at Capella.



In addition to your other application materials, the admissions committee seeks to understand your potential as a professional psychologist in terms of your ability to write clearly and communicate your thoughts effectively. You are asked to produce a writing sample that represents your best scholarly writing efforts. The writing sample will be evaluated, along with your other application materials, by faculty reviewers.

Introduction
In this writing sample, the discussion about how I will achieve a clinical training site and how I will locate a qualified site supervisor will be mentioned. The possible barriers I may face will also be mentioned along with how I plan to complete my field training. The actions I will take in case my site supervisor cannot p
rovide supervision will also be stated along with a detailed analysis of interventions and mental health services to develop social and life skills will be mentioned.

A. Clinical training site
In order to attain my degree as a PsyD in school psychology, I will have to take some specific steps, these steps will mention the goals, plans and objectives I have. PsyD in school psychology is a doctorate degree which offers students an opportunity to become a practicing school psychologists. Along with this, it should also be noted down that, the PsyD program focuses more on how a student can practically apply everything he/she has learned about psychological treatment, instead of making them focus on researching (Jimerson et al., 2021). In the same way, it helps the students in developing more focused and critical thinking and reasoning skills, abilities and knowledge in an effective and proper manner. At the same time, it is also important to know that, the aforementioned studies about the research experiments in school psychology have their own limitations and cannot answer all of the questions (Begeny, Levy, Hida & Norwalk, 2018). The student gets an opportunity to make his/her career more flexible and have an increased earning potential by obtaining a PsyD rather than studying specialist or master’s degree. On the other hand, it is also analyzed that, there are several goals I have which will help me to obtain a PsyD degree, the first goal I have is to locate a clinical training site. In order to locate a clinical site for my training purposes, the first step I will take is to write an application to several schools, requesting them to let me practice as a school psychologist in their respective institutions. Apart from writing applications, one can also try to build their own portfolio which will include all the volunteering work they have done in the past related to solving the mental health problems of children (Conoley, Powers & Gutkin, 2020). In addition to this, building a portfolio which includes all my past experiences related to the school psychology field will help me to make a good impression while asking for a practicing PsyD school psychologist’s role. I will also try to offer free services to some schools for a limited amount of time, I will try to increase the academic performances of the kids and will try to solve their mental health-related issues. Offering free services will not only allow the schools to know more about the services, but it will also help the student to gather more experience as a school psychologist. Improving the free services provided by identifying some common problems children face and once the problems are identified implementing academic learning to solve those issues. Apart from this, active problem identification and constantly finding solutions for the issues will give practical on-ground experience and if the student is able to solve issues effectively, it will help them to get a chance (Canivez, 2019). The second I have is finding a qualified site supervisor, a qualified will help me to gain experience and will also guide me whenever necessary. In order to find a qualified site supervisor, I will try to consult the matter with my teachers and try to find a qualified site supervisor in the community of PsyD school psychology. I will also try to find a qualified site supervisor using various methods such as emailing the site supervisors, finding them in various school psychology communities and trying to take recommendations from my teacher. Once I succeed to locate a site supervisor, I will try to know more about their educational background, it is also important to check if the site supervisor has an authentic state school psychologist credential or not (Newman, Simon & Swerdlik, 2019).
B. Identify possible barriers
Once I make sure that he/she has every required qualification for being a site supervisor I will start practicing under him/her. I have also identified some possible barriers which may occur while finding a practicing site and finding a site supervisor. The identification of barriers is very important so that a solution can be planned and executed to prevent them from happening (Begeny et al., 2019). At the same time, the first barrier I may face while finding a practicing site is my lack of relevant experience, since I do not have practical experience related to the work I may have trouble finding a practicing site. In order to solve that issue I will try to volunteer my service in various schools and gather as much relevant experience as I can, it will also help me to build my portfolio stronger. I may also face an issue while finding a qualified site supervisor, I may have trouble while finding supervisor because of the availability of supervisors. There are very few amount site supervisors available, which will make it harder for me to find a qualified site supervisor under whom I can continue practicing. In order to solve this issue I will try to take suggestions from my seniors and will start looking for site supervisors inside the PsyD community.
C. Complete your field training
I may encounter another problem while looking for training sites; many training sites do not offer payments for practicing in their institutions, in which case my financial state and medical insurance agreement may face an impact. In order to deal with that situation while also maintaining my weekly working hours, I will try applying for practicing sites that will pay me.
D. Action
I will have to give at least 40 hours of time to the practice every week, which is why I may also use the rest of my time to work as a part-timer to support my financial needs. There is another problem I may face, in case the site supervisor I am practicing under can no longer provide me supervision that will impact my study. In order to deal with that scenario I will try to find another site supervisor as soon as possible who is qualified and I may also try being more proactive and start putting efforts into acquiring knowledge by myself. Apart from checking that I will also try to know if the site supervisor has a minimum of fulltime-working experience of 3 years or not. Training practitioners to have humility naturally requires powerful attention towards building beliefs, values, and privileges and it also requires constant attention with a purpose (Fisher, 2020).
