I consider voting for Jorgensen in November because of her more professional and respectful attitude towards politics. She may be passionate, but her views align more with mine, and I feel as if she would be an adequate role model for the newer generations. Jorgensen stated, “I want to turn America into one giant Switzerland – armed and neutral." "The purpose of the military is to protect us, not make us less safe” this stands out to me because she wishes to attain peace. The point she made about gun control further appealed to me as well.

No, I would not consider running as a third-party candidate because the two major parties have a more realistic chance of obtaining the presidency. I feel that I lean slightly more to the democratic party than the republican. Therefore, I would run as a democrat in hopes that I still manage to represent my ideals and interests for the country.

The two-party political system has lived up to the fears of the founding fathers. The Republicans and Democrats have dominated politics due to them completely diving contrasting beliefs and grouping them into separate forms of ideologies. This caused further division in the country, therefore hindering democracy because there is so much division in viewpoints that whichever law, be it republican or democratic, passes will be the majority’s voice and leaving a large population also unhappy. For example, if there is a majority vote in either one of those two parties, half of the nation’s voices are heard while the other half is not heard. Therefore, the majority party has an advantage over the minority party to win more elections.
