Project and Event management
Executive summary
When defining a new project or phase of a current project, the Initiating Process Group performs activities such as gaining authorization to begin the project or phase. When a project is initiated, it must first be defined and approved before work can commence; in their instance, part of this had already occurred. They took their time and thought about it thoroughly before deciding on a central site that would be easy to go to. All of their team members needed to be seated, and they needed a structure that would keep the meeting light and entertaining while still doing its job of conveying business information to the team. As a result, the team researched the various meeting places and features that were available. To determine the project's scope
, refine the objectives, and outline the course of action to achieve the project's goals, the Planning Process Group is formed." - The PMBOK Handbook. Most individuals don't consider the endless duties involved in event planning.

Introduction
An event manager applies project management principles to the design and growth of small and large-scale personal and business events such as festivals and conferences and weddings, and formal parties. Before the event is launched, it is necessary to research the brand, define its target audience, develop the event idea, and coordinate the technical components. Events of all sizes, from the Olympics to business breakfast meetings, are now part of the events sector. To advertise their product or establish commercial contacts, companies, celebrities, charities, and interest groups host events. There are many aspects of organizing an event, such as budgeting, time management, site selection, securing permits and licenses, booking speakers and entertainers, and setting up decor and catering (Picciotto, 2020). Event planning also involves working with third-party vendors and developing emergency plans. These are all aspects of event management. Because every event is unique, the planning and execution processes vary depending on the type of event. The event manager is the person in charge of the artistic, technical, and logistical aspects of the event. This involves everything from conceptualizing an event to creating a brand, implementing a marketing and communication plan, producing audiovisual content, writing scripts, organizing logistics, and interacting with clients after the event has ended. Event management is often considered as one of the most demanding professions, right up there with doctors, because of the intricacies involved, the large body of knowledge necessary, and the always-changing environment. Companies of all sizes may utilize event management as a tool for strategic marketing and communication (Tereso et al., 2019). Promotional events may help companies connect with their existing and future consumers. Press conferences, promotional events, and product debuts are just a few examples of advertising-focused events.

Project scope document
Having a seamless project from start to finish, with no delays or budget exceedance, is the goal of any project manager. However, this is quite unusual. Everything can change throughout a project, even if it's discussed and planned out in advance with all the project stakeholders. In reality, scope creep affects 52% of projects, making it a major source of concern for project managers (Sanghera, 2019).
It is critical to managing the project's scope since it helps identify and document all of the project's objectives, deliverables, and deadlines, as well as its budget. Project management is accustomed to huge projects undergoing several iterations as they move down the path to successful completion. When the scope of project management is well defined at the outset, it makes it much easier for teams to manage and make required changes. A project manager's biggest challenge is managing stakeholders' and customers' expectations. When managers have a comprehensive understanding of the scope of the project, they can stay on track and fulfill all deadlines.

When describing the project's goals, it's common to use terms like "scope statement" and "statement of work."
The mission statement for the project
· Establishes the team's duties while also detailing the project's boundaries.
· defines all the processes to be followed for the final work's verification and approval and
· Establishes a clear project-related decision-making framework for the team's members.
There must be as much detail when describing the project scope as feasible to minimize scope creep, which occurs when portions of the project take longer and require more effort than originally anticipated because of misunderstandings or poor planning. Effective project management allows teams to accomplish projects on time while also ensuring that the final result meets all of the standards that were set forth at the beginning.
Stakeholder management plan
A formal strategy for how stakeholders will be involved in an undertaking, in project management terms, is known as a stakeholder management plan. Any individual or group with interest in a project is considered a stakeholder. A project team may optimize stakeholders' positive influence on the project by considering when and how they will be involved.
Stakeholders might come from both inside and outside of the company. Business departments like accounting and information technology are examples of internal stakeholders. External stakeholders seldom have a voice in the project's decision-making process. Regulated sectors are generally the most significant external stakeholder group for any project for authorities with regulatory power. Identifying a stakeholder should be part of the project team's stakeholder management plan (de Oliveira & Rabechini 2019). A project team can't have representatives from every stakeholder group on it. It's impossible in a lot of situations. However, for the project to be successful, stakeholders must provide feedback and buy-in. Suppose a government agency wishes to rebuild its most extensively used proprietary software product and bring it up to date with today's standards. The program is used in some capacity by nearly everyone in the company. In order to represent all types of users on the project team, the team devises methods to receive feedback from stakeholders and agrees on methods to educate stakeholders on the project progress. The stakeholder management strategy outlines these approaches and communication strategies for obtaining input.
Evolution
The project manager is usually in charge of maintaining the stakeholder management strategy. The stakeholder management strategy is a dynamic document that changes when more stakeholders are engaged. The stakeholder management strategy can evolve together with the project to meet the specific requirements of the project. A project team can effectively receive and respond to stakeholder input and feedback with a flexible stakeholder management plan that also keeps those stakeholders up to date (Johnson-Cramer, Berman & Post, 2017).
Marketing
Every advertising and marketing campaign needs project planning to be successful. Using project management systems helps marketers discover and prepare better, more realistic marketing elements of enhancing program delivery, which in turn helps them save money. Advertisement campaigns, digital marketing, direct marketing, and distribution marketing are just a few of the marketing components that project managers must think about. A well-planned marketing strategy is more likely than an unprepared one to provide better returns on...
