Please download the data “final_1.npz” or zip file final.zip in Canvas. The data is in Python format. It contains “time” in minute, u (x-axis direction wind speed), v (y-axis direction wind speed) in m/s, and direction (wind direction) in degree. The data is the surface wind observations collected during Hurricane Ivan’s landfall. The time interval of observations is 1 minute. Please (1) plot time series of original data; (2) calculate 10-minute mean and standard deviation; (3) plot 10-minute statistics along with the original data as the following figure. (45 points). Note: you may choose your own color. 2. Please download the data “final_2.mat” or zip file final.zip in Canvas. The data is in Matlab format. It contains global sea surface temperature in Kelvin [T=t(0C)+273.16], u (west-east winds in m/s), v (south-north winds in m/s), and longitude/latitude information. Please (1) Plot global sea surface temperature overlapped with the surface wind vectors as the figure on the left. (30 points) (2) Plot global sea surface temperature overlapped with the surface wind vectors as the figure on the right.
