Presentation:
At the end of Module 4, you will submit a PowerPoint presentation to summarize your findings. Here is the researchquestion:"If humans keep fishing, will the fish supply eventually run out?"Your PowerPoint must include the following:

1. A minimum of 12 slides; include slide numbers. All slide backgrounds must be white with black text.

2. Slide 1: Your title slide should give the research question you have investigated.

3. Slide 2: Your Abstract that meets the Abstract guidelines (see III below).

4. Slide 3: Two possible answers to your research question, labeled “Answer Supported” and Answer Refuted”.

· Answer Supported: This is the answer to your question that is supported by the evidence in your peer-reviewed article and other sources. For example, “Answer Supported: Food A is healthier than Food B.”

· Answer Refuted: This is the answer that not supported by your peer-reviewed article and other sources. For example: “Answer Refuted: Food B is healthier than Food A.”

5. After slide 3, use additional slides to describe and explain the evidence supporting your claim. These slides must be titled “Evidence for Answer Supported.”

i. Use examples, applications, and observations from your research - do not merely list facts.

ii. Explain why each piece of evidence is important or relevant.

iii. Cite the sources from which you obtained your evidence. You must use three or more sources; at least one source must be a peer-reviewed academic journal article.

6. Next, explain why the Answer Refuted is inaccurate, and how the inaccurate misconception of its accuracy may have arisen. These slides must be titled “Evidence against Claim Refuted.”

7. Your final slide should be a Works Cited page with a complete, APA formatted reference for every source you used. Remember to use in-text citations as you borrow from each source in your presentation. For help with references and citations, visit the

II.
Abstract:
Your peer-reviewed article will serve as the centerpiece of your Semester Project, and should provide the evidence that you will use to decide which claim is best-supported by evidence. You will then write a 500-word “abstract” to summarize and analyze this article; your abstract will be written in paragraph form, not as a list.

You will then paste your abstract into slide #2 of your PowerPoint – you may reduce the font size as needed to fit. Your abstract must include the following:

1. In Paragraph One (must be given in paragraph form; do not just list)

i. Article title

ii. Author

iii. Source (the full name of the journal that published the article)

iv. Date of publication

2. In Paragraphs 2-5: Summary (summarize the article in up to three paragraphs)

3. Final Paragraph: Analysis (analyze the article. Is the biology clearly explained? Has the author made a justifiable interpretation of the data?). Statements about whether you enjoyed the article or what you learned from the article do not belong in your Abstract or other parts of your semester presentation.

If humans keep fishing,
will the fish supply eventually run out?
Abstract
Studies have found that the aquatic life and edible fish are in trouble for over many years now
By the year 2050, there might be a significant collapse in the fish industry due to overfishing.
Drop of as much as 50% in th
e population of edible fish had been noted over the past few years.
The development of new technologies for fishing has been another leading reason for depletion of fish.
Authorities concerned should take into consideration the broader aspects of this problem and act on certain measures laid down by the experts.
Studies have found that the aquatic life and edible fish are in trouble for over many years now. Scientists predict that in due course, it might so happen that fish may run out of stock and by the year 2050, there might be a significant collapse in the fish industry due to overfishing. Depletion in the fish population has occurred in the past and with the help of certain efforts, the depletion in population of fish could be countered but with increasing overfishing worldwide, the risk of fish running out of stock is a burning issue now and without suitable measures there will be a significant drop in the fish availability within a few years. As per the studies of marine biologists, experts and conservation strategists, consumer tastes can have a harmful effect in the population of fish as it leads to overfishing to a great extent. The considerably low price of fish that is prevalent worldwide is another great cause for the depletion of population of fish and the probable disappearance of many species in near future. As opined by Erhardt (2018),
Overwhelming depletion in the population of fish has been noted in countries like Canada, Florida, Mexico and many more during the 1990s. Significant drop of as much as 50% in the population of edible fish had been noted in these countries over the past few years. In India, the decrease in the population of fish has been noted from the beginning of this millennium and this depletion has rapidly been into play for many years now. The development of new technologies for fishing has been another leading reason for depletion of fish over the years. With the advent of new technologies people have started taking to fishing as a major hobby and that leads to unnecessary overfishing to a great extent. In countries like Japan China Indonesia and Singapore overfishing in the name of hobby is a big issue. According to statistics 31% of the world's fish population is overfished and 58% are fished at the maximum sustainable level. With the increasing global population the demand in the fish market has been on the rise and the reproduction rate of the fish has unfortunately not been so high to meet the need of 7 billion people. Overfishing has caused a disturbance in the ecosystem as it has an effect on the food chain of various species and thereby affecting the global population of fish as a whole. With the decreasing number of certain amount of fish worldwide, other members of the food chain are getting affected too and that in turn creates a chain reaction where a number of species are affected due to depletion in the number of a single species...
