INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY APPLIED PROJECT 1 Topic: Vehicle anti-theft and face recognition system – Continuing 1. Project Plan: Proposal 2. Project Proposal / Portfolio: Requirements analysis and System Design 3. Oral Presentation The Project Plan: Proposal (30%)   For IT students, it consists of a brief proposal and outline of your proposed project, making some reference to the literature relevant to your project.  This initial project plan will be due at the end of the first week and should be at least 1000 words.  Project Plan (Proposal) is worth 30% of your final mark. The Project Proposal / Portfolio: Requirements analysis and System Design (50%)  It consists of gathering / researching the software and hardware requirements of the proposed system. You will then need to analyse these requirements. Feel free to use your convenient analysis and design tools. You are required to submit a System Analysis and Design Document of at least 5000 words. The requirement analysis and design document is worth 50% of your final mark. MARKING RUBRIC Criteria High Distinction (80-100%) Criteria 1 Structure 10 points (8-10 points) · Excellent structure. Purpose
The purpose of this project overview plan is to help the user to understand project management for vehicle anti-theft and face recognition system. In this report we will discuss how the project will be, monitor and then control during the life cycle of the system. With this report it will be useful for the developer to understand the working of the system and the procedure which will be followed.
Scope
The scope of driving this project overview plan is to provide the overview about vehicle anti-theft and face recognition system and also describe the approach which will be employed for managing the whole project. This project plan includes summary description for the project management plans which can be combined with this plan to use as the total body for the management plan of the system. This report includes all the assumptions, constraints, acronyms and detailed background of the system.
Assumptions
The following assumptions can be used for designing the new system:
We can assume that the user is not wearing any mask.
We can assume that system has complete power supply.
We can assume that the system will be installed on the vehicle.
Acronyms
The following acronyms can be found in the following report.
CCTV – Close circuit television
IP – Internet Protocol
PCA – Principal component analysis
LCD – Liquid crystal display
PIR – Passive infrared sensor
Document Maintenance
The project manager will be utilising this plant as the part of normal maintenance and operations along with the activities which will be conducted by the system. Please document also has a revision history log. Whenever any changes take place in this document then the version number will be updated in the increment manner and it will also revise the date.
Background
Background and scope
Currently, the security for the vehicles is not enough by locking the door. The door is not enough to protect the vehicles and accessories. The smart vehicle security system is still not so popular for the users due to its high price tag. This security system can be improved to make it more secure in the market and we can modify this system by building it with low-cost material by fulfilling the needs of the user. The scope of this report is to design the embedded system along with the face recognition system. This project includes new design for the security of the system with low-cost material but with enhanced security level. This system was to design against the weakness of the current security system for vehicles. The design architecture, assumptions and keywords are included in this report for better understanding.
Approach
With this report it would...
