To invite applications a detailed job description will be created and posted on leading job portals.
The applicants will be screened against criteria and interview will be conducted to explore their potential. It helps to recruit talented people.
· ➢First day orientation
First day orientation helps to complete the paperwork, and provide a chance to new joinees to know their workplace.
· ➢Welcome by management team and peers
This helps to know the management closely and the peers with which new joinees are going to work, who they have to report and who all are there team members.
· ➢Types of tasks completed
It helps employees to understand the scope of their job and understand specifically what is important to do.
· ➢Access to facilities and training
This will equip them with resources which is required to complete the quality work.
· ➢Psychological Contract unwritten expectations encountered from host
organisation and to what extent Student’s unwritten expectations have been met
The unwritten expectations are opportunities to grow and develop, to be taken care of and to ensure access to resources. They are met in the organizational setup.
B) Reflection on Initial Impressions (follow outline in Assessment Guidelines)
The experience with host organization was quite an enriching one as I got chance to work in different departments specifically of my choice in marketing. Initially the exposure of different departments were given including finance, administration, cooking, cleaning and dealing with customers directly. As a student I got interested in marketing of resort services and expresses my wish to learn the strategic moves taken by resort for customer acquisition. I started with Event management of organizing buffet for tourists in the busy season. I learnt quite new things like quantity of raw material planning, man-power required to make the arrangements fool-proof, back-up plan and planning the seating arrangement to accommodate 150 guests at a time in the dining area.
