In this assignment, you are asked to writea short series of blog posts(2 blogs in total). Both blogs will be submitted together as Assessment Item 2.Note: This is an academic assignment – so your blog posts must be fully referenced and supported by relevant research and literature.TASK
Step 1 - Choose a topic

You canchoose ONEof the following topics on which to base your blog series: data breaches; ransomware attacks; image-based abuse; cyber bullying; cyber harassment; online child exploitation; identity theft and fraud; online investment fraud or online romance fraud.

Step 2 – Writing the blog posts

You are to write two (2) blog posts on yourONEchosen topic – each blog post will have a different focus and purpose:

Blog 1:
- Description/definitional parameters of the cybercrime chosen;
- Scale and prevalence of the cybercrime type chosen;
- Its impact (financial; psychological etc)
- Blog length = 700 words

Blog 2:
- apply the theoretical frame of Routine Activities Approach
- who are the typical actors? (characteristics and motivation of offenders; characteristics of victims including what makes them vulnerable to victimization; who are the guardians and what role can they play in preventing and reacting to the crime) and,
- how is the crime enacted? (context and intersection of actors)
- you can choose to talk about the crime generically or choose a specific case study on which to base your discussion
- Blog length = 1500 words

Title: Please think of an engaging title to attract readers – one title per blog.

Content: You should focus on the information that you think would be most useful to your audience.

Research: You need to use research (academic, empirical and/or government) to support the content of your blogs. All the claims and suggestions you make need to be referenced and properly cited.

Theory: Blog 2 asks you to apply Routine Activities Approach as your framework. You will use this framework to discuss the specific content covered in the blog.

References: Include information from
at least
5 sources outside of the assigned readingsfor each blog. APA reference style.

Format: Type your blog posts in a Word document – each blog post should start on a new page. Each blog should have a brief introductory paragraph; paragraphs that make up the body of the blog; brief concluding paragraph.

Length:EACHblog post has a specific word limit. Blog 1 = 700 words; Blog 2 = 1500 words (not including in-text referencing and reference list).

Audience: Who is your audience? The general public but remember you are writing as an expert for an non-expert audience.
