You work for Echo Strategic Consultants. Your company has assigned you to be a consultant for a BBQ restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas. The restaurant is "Cooper's Old Time Pit BBQ(Enlaces a un sitio externo.)". The owner has hired your company because they want to reach out to new customers. They have a Facebook page and a YouTube Channel but that's it. The owner was listening to the radio and caught the tail end of a show about post-milennials. They are from the baby boomer generation and would like to know more about the post-millennial generation (sometimes called Generation Z) and how to reach these customers.
Your job is to research one of the platforms (you will need at least 3 references - other than Wikipedia). Then, create a PowerPoint presentation and a script to convince the owner to use that platform to reach post-millennial customers. The goal is to research and present information to persuade the owner to use one of the platforms.
First, choose one platform to research (Instagram OR Snapchat) and then conduct research to give the presentation and write the script. Include only the information that is relevant to this business. For example - stating that a platform is rapidly expanding the user base internationally is not relevant to a BBQ restaurant business in Fort Worth, Texas.

Assignment Part 1: PowerPoint presentation: Here is the suggested flow of the presentation:

Slide 1. Introduction slide -
Here is what needs to be on this slide: You name, title (Consultant), the name/logo of the business you are doing consulting project for, the date, the name of the platform you are recommending and an image or images of the platform.

Slide 2.
Who are the post-millennials? What characteristics do they have? -
You'll need to research this, provide a description explaining who they are and their characteristics and also include a good image or graphic representative of the description you have offered in words.

Slide 3. Introduce the platform you've selected. -
Research and explain what it is, how it works and a brief history. Find an image or images to include representative of the platform you have selected.

Slide 4. Describe the demographics of the platform you chose. Find an image or images to include.
- Research the platform -- who uses it? Find an image or a graphic representative of the demographic data or users.

Slide 5. Describe what kind of metrics that can be used with the platform you chose. Find an image or images to include.
- You'll need to research this and find a good image or graphic representative of metrics that can be used with this platform.

Slide 6. Explain why the owner should start using this platform. Be sure to include information about Fort Worth.
For example - who visits Fort Worth? Are there colleges or universities nearby? How many post-millennial go to the colleges and/or universities. Find an image or images to include.

Slide 7. Describe an idea that you have for a campaign for the platform you have chosen and create one piece of content for the campaign/platform.
Use Canva.com - it will save you time and help you prepare for the final project.

Slide 8. List the references that you used.
You can use any style you would like (MLA, APA, etc) in the correct format. Here is a

Now write a script in a Word document. Pretend that you are giving a formal professional presentation. Type what would you say if you were trying to convince the owner and type it into a MS Word document. The best way to organize the script is below:

Slide 2 - (Put your text here that you would say when the slide come ups)
Slide 3 - (Put your text here that you would say when the slide come ups)
and so on all the way through Slide 9.
For this assignment you will submit two documents in this Assignment tab:

Since, Instagram is widely used and it is perhaps one of the most used social media among the present generation Z and post millennials it has become a significant platform to advertise their own business. It is a bit different from that of Facebook and YouTube but it is more appealing and the visual influence has a significant impact on the target audience. This can be significantly noted that the number of Instagram users have increased over time. The restaurant industry is trying to put a prime focus on marketing their business on Instagram (Munoz & Towner).
Instagram promotions are a feature that can boost the visibility of the existing post the story via the Instagram app (Khan). Therefore to make their content more visible and reach a wider audience than what their current following is Instagram will be an effective website for promotion.
