What advice do you have for someone who is just beginning a career in this profession? · 1 LIP Part 3 Instructions Part 3: Personal Leadership Paper (200 points): The goal of this assignment is to apply what you learned about the position/profession of your interviewee to your future career plans. Write a 5 to 6 page paper (single-spaced, 1.15), in complete sentence and full paragraph form. Please use headings in your paper. Grammar and structure will be graded. Your paper will include these parts: 1. Introduction: a. One paragraph: describe the person you interviewed, his/her qualifications (include education) and experience, and how you identified this person to interview. b. One paragraph: describe the attractive side of this profession, why are you interested in this career, what additional information have you learned that makes this career attractive. c. Summarize characteristics, traits, KSAs, education, etc. that lead to success in this career. Relate the interview to leadership and OB theories discussed in class. d. One paragraph: identify factors that make this career challenging. Identify characteristics that make someone more likely to be successful in that field (in the face of these challenges). 2. Personality psychologists are interested in what differentiates one person from another and why we behave the way that we do. Personality research, like any science, relies on quantifiable concrete data which can be used to examine what people are like. This is where the Big Five plays an important role. a. Describe the person you interviewed, his/her qualifications (include education) and experience, and how you identified this person to interview.
The person that I interviewed holds a Degree in Finance so he can be regarded a
s the expert of his own field and his name is Patrick Alejaga. Furthermore, he also works for a renowned organization such as University of Nevada Reno as an Assistant Accounting Director for last 5 years. However, he mentioned that there are some of the main experience and training required for this post such as creating proper information about accounting, creating the reports based on the standards of the industry, reviewing finances properly, auditing, maintaining excellent internal finance controls, etc. As I study in this University (University of Nevada, Reno) so I found Mr. Patrick Alejaga in our Accounts Department and thought of taking his interview.
b. The attractive side of this particular profession and why I might consider in this particular career
I am interested in this career because it is one of the most highly regarded professions with enormous job opportunities and security. Furthermore, I also have an opportunity to work as a bookkeeper, auditor, financial analyst, tax accountant, controller and also accounting manager. It is needless to say that the salary of this profession is also extremely attractive unlike other profession.
The following are some of the main points that I have learned for making this profession attractive:

· The growing demand for the accountants
· The pay range of the accountants can also be termed as excellent

Being a successful Assistant Accounting Director one needs to also possess excellent leadership qualities. The KSAs are: The following are the main skills that an Assistant Accounting Director needs to possess such as adaptability, communication skills, critical thinking, time management skills, awareness, management skills, basic math skills, initiative, etc. On the other hand, the main abilities of an Accounting Director should be the following: Teamwork, to handle stress under extreme condition, meeting tough deadlines, technology savvy, business to business selling skills, etc.
