A yearbook is a type of picture book published annually to record, highlight, and commemorate the past year. From the D2L Content tab (University of Arizona Yearbooks),select a specific year (your choice) you’d like to summarize, highlighting key and interesting facts about the events and significant people for the chosen period.Based on your yearbook review, prepare a 3-4 page typed paper (double spaced, 12pt font, 1” margins) summarizing the significant events and people of that time.


Although school yearbooks vary by design and size, they all share similar content and structural characteristics.Your task is to tell the University of Arizona story from a specific point in time.


To receive full points on this assignment, please follow the requirements below:

  • At a minimum, the paper should include:

Foreword
This volume of the yearbook 1913 has elaborated on the famous personality and the events of the University of Arizona and a brief review of the college. This presentation shall endeavor the president of the university in 1913 and the famous significant personalities who were associated with the university in the year 1913. This has also emphasized and presented the events that have taken place in the year 1913.
Historical Sketch
University of Arizona in 1913
The history of the university begins in 1864 when the first Arizona legislature pressed for the establishment of the university. Subsequently, in 1885 the legislature proposed a sum of $25000 for the foundation of the University of Arizona at Tuscon.

The construction of the university began in 1887 and the university opened its classes in the year 1891. The science and the engineering departments were continuously constructed. The continual and rapid growth of the university was subsequently taken over by the presidentship of Dr. Wilde in 1911 and immensely contributed to the future of the university.

    
Year 1913
The year 1913 had extensively made progress in the departments of the university and there had been phenomenal progress. There were changes in the faculty members and the establishment of the regular weekly assembly took place in this particular year. Several new faculties also joined the university and the departments of Geology and Chemistry were extended. One of the most important achievements of the city this year was the introduction of the student's point of view with Mr. Quigely being the faculty coach. The has also witnessed the establishment of the YMCA which became one of the most active organizations among the men. The university also won the State Championship in tennis with Leo Cloud in 1913.
