A yearbook is a type of picture book published annually to record, highlight, and commemorate the past year. From the D2L Content tab (University of Arizona Yearbooks),select a specific year (your choice) you’d like to summarize, highlighting key and interesting facts about the events and significant people for the chosen period.Based on your yearbook review, prepare a 3-4 page typed paper (double spaced, 12pt font, 1” margins) summarizing the significant events and people of that time.
Although school yearbooks vary by design and size, they all share similar content and structural characteristics.Your task is to tell the University of Arizona story from a specific point in time.
To receive full points on this assignment, please follow the requirements below:
- Contains 3-4 complete pages of text (headers/titles not included)
- Follows correct formatting:double spaced, 12pt font, 1” margins
- At a minimum, the paper should include:
- Year Period (e.g., 1963)
- A brief biography of the University of Arizona President during this period.Click here for information on past presidents.
- Description of three (3) significant people listed in the yearbook to highlight. For each person, please provide a name, their role, and why you chose to highlight them.
- Please keep in mind the required President biography does not count as a significant person.Please pick three significant people in addition to the President's biography.
- Description of five (5) interesting events listed in the yearbook. For each event, describe the event and why it is significant to UArizona heritage/tradition (3-4 sentences each).
