lab assignment will read text from a file, and performing some operations on
that string to answer specific questions.
1.
Download the lab13_data_in.txt file
2.
In your sketch, read this file
using loadStrings()
3.
Remember, strings are case
sensitive!
4.
Based on this file, write code in your
sketch to answer the following questions. Hint, there is one element in the
array at this point.
a.
Does
the text “processing” exist in the file?
b.
What
is numeric position in the string of the first occurrence of “literacy”
c.
What
is the length of the string?
d.
What
is the character at the middle of the string?
e.
What
is the substring of 10 characters from the middle?
5.
Split the string with the delimiter
“.”
6.
Append your name the end of the
newly formed sting array
7.
In your sketch write the file using
saveStrings() with the filename lab13_data_out.txt
8.
Feel free to use any temporary
variables you may need, such as the length of the string
9.
When printing your answers from the
sketch, make sure you are using descriptive messaging, and not just printing an
answer by itself.
