INTRODUCTION

We live in the age of
innovation and as marketers we must be aware of past, present, and future
trends to be successful in our field. As
you know, things move quickly in the world of marketing and it’s up to us to
stay informed so we can make good decisions and a bigger impact. In this
assignment you will work with your pre-assigned group to create a narrated
powerpoint presentation on a current marketing trend. Your narrated powerpoint
should be 10 minutes in length and contain 10-12 slides that your group creates
collaboratively. The presentation requires that we see your slides and hear
your voices narrating each slide. Seeing your faces as you present would
enhance your presentation however, it is not required. The goal of this
assignment is to provide a brief history and overview of your trend, show how
it relates to a current marketing campaign (case study), and discuss how this
trend affects marketing practices now, and in the future.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT YOUR SLIDES

For your message to have real impact, your slides should include key words and
images that add value

Too much text makes it confusing to the audience and also lends itself to too
much reading.

Your powerpoint presentation should not have more than 25 words per slide.

Less than 25 words is okay, but not more. Marks will be deducted for too much
text.

Consider using powerful images to convey your ideas, as opposed to text

Create a clear outline before you begin

Practice what you will be saying, and speak as if you are talking to a friend.
