An oral presentation must be presented in the classroom as well, therefore you will be required to develop a Power Point presentation. Read on for further instruction of the assessment. Part A - research report You are to research and produce a written report (maximum 1800 words), highlighting diversity of an organisation. You are to select one (1) of the companies from the from the suggested websites: · Australian HR Institute – Hall of Fame of last year (or 2 years ago) https://www.ahri.com.au/awards/ahri-awards/home or · DiversityInc Top 50 companies of last year for Diversity https://www.diversityinc.com/st/DI_Top_50 This organisation must be approved by the teacher, who will check it has sufficient content in its Diversity Policy for you to prepare a written report and a presentation. 1. Introduction
The main purpose o
f this report is to highlight the main theme of “Diversity” in the firm.
The company that is taken into account for this particular report is Marriott International and it is the biggest American multinational diversified hospitality firm that tends to franchise and manage the largest portfolio in terms of the hotels as well as related lodging facilities. It is founded by J. Williard Marriott and at present, this firm is led by the son namely Bill Marriott along with the chief executive officer and president namely Arne Sorenson. This particular firm came into existence in the year 1927 and the headquarter is located in Maryland, the U.S. Furthermore, more than 1, 78,000 employees work for this firm, and the number of locations in which this firm has spread its wings is approximately 7,484.
This particular firm is considered as it is regarded as one of the most admired firms in the world and it is also scored 100% as per the Corporate Equality Index.
1. Diversity within the Marriot International

It has been observed that as per the Diversity policy of the firm they are committed to promoting “FAMILY and UNITY”. Furthermore, the firm also creates an inclusive environment that tends to support retention, recruitment as well as actively engaging in efforts for developing an inclusive and diverse workforce (Gajjar & Okumus, 2018).

Diversity goals for recruitment and employee selection in Marriot International consist of conducting a diversity hiring audit on the present hiring procedure, picking one metric for enhancing the diversity in their hiring, and enhancing the diversity hiring in terms of sourcing the candidate (Perkins-Chavis, 2017).
